Our Network aims for Somerset to become a more trauma-informed county, and is open to anyone working with children and families in Somerset with a desire to engage in and promote trauma informed approaches.

Helping workplaces to feel like a safe place for colleagues and people who use the service, prioritising wellbeing, recognising the different way trauma may impact people at work and leading with compassion
CHOICE AND CLARITY
Giving choice where possible to the individual and being clear about different options
INCLUSIVE
Promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, valuing the expertise of all individuals, communities and sectors and listening to those with lived experience and make sure their voices are heard
EMPOWER
Empowering individuals to build resilience and challenge the causes of adversity to make a difference through support and systems. Developing knowledge and understanding around experiences of trauma and adversity to work with individuals, families and communities to build on strengths and recovery
TRUST
Supporting building trust by working with transparency and empathy
COLLABORATION
Collaborating with people using services, colleagues and partners to work together for positive outcomes building in meaningful co-production into processes where possible
