NSPCC Resources – Pregnancy in Mind and Baby Steps

As the UK’s leading children’s charity, the NSPCC works to prevent abuse, strengthen early relationships, and ensure that every child has the best possible start in life. Their programmes are grounded in research, shaped by practice experience, and designed to respond to the needs of families during key stages of their journey. We are pleased to provide a more in‑depth introduction to the NSPCC’s Pregnancy in Mind and Baby Steps resources below:

A free 8 week group programme supporting expectant parents who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety and depression during pregnancy. Helps parents-to-be to manage their anxieties and mood during their day-to-day lives better, using coping strategies and techniques, which are learnt and practised during face to face or online group sessions.  

A free antenatal group programme.  Open to all but particularly suitable for those expectant parents who are dealing with additional challenges and vulnerabilities, supporting them to manage the emotional and physical transition to parenthood.  Covers a range of topics including understanding and caring for their baby, health & wellbeing, labour & birth and relationships.
