The SSCP in collaboration with the Violence Reduction Partnership, have created a useful webpage full of resources focused around Serious Youth Violence (SYV) in response to the JTAI inspection earlier this year.

The page aims to support practitioners understanding of what serious youth violence is, the factors that can increase the risk of serious youth violence, and where to report concerns.
The page contains a directory of resources, including support for young people and families, a helpful Bite-size guide and tools, videos and podcasts. The SSCP training offer around SYV includes webinars, eLearning and a CPD presentation for use as a training resource in team meetings to help upskill your team.
The Somerset Safeguarding Children Partnership, Violence Reduction Partnership and Somerset Council Learning & Development team will be hosting this year’s Serious Youth Violence & Child Exploitation Conference on Monday 25th November, 9am to 4.30pm, at Taunton Racecourse.
