Updates from the Somerset Trauma Informed Network

Building on work over the past few years, the Somerset Trauma Informed Network launched its mailing list and resource pages in April.

We have lots of exciting projects on the go, and would like to tell you more about them:

  1. Forum Week – we will be putting on a series of webinars in June focused around Understanding Neglect. Find out more information here!
  2. Work with children and stakeholders – we are busy consulting with young people’s participation groups in Somerset to influence our work. Information about their work and perspectives will be shared at our Forum Week in June.
  3. Learning and development opportunities – our multi-agency Trauma Informed training group is developing exciting learning opportunities, which will be released later in the year.
  4. Pledge – we are working on a Pledge for leaders of agencies to sign up to, to demonstrate their commitment to creating a more Trauma-Informed system.
  5. Self-assessment – we are creating an agency Self-Assessment to support identifying areas of strength and development.

We’d love to hear from you if you would like to share an initiative or strength from your agency, to support learning and sharing ideas across the Somerset Trauma Informed Network. Click here to contact us.
